I think it’s time I introduced myself.
I’m not Michelle. Or Steve. Or even a Lawson. (Gasp! I know. I should have asked you to sit down first before I dropped that one on you!) I’ve been blah, blah, blah-ing in your general direction for several months now and haven’t even told you who I am. How rude. Please accept my apology.
This is me.

I’m the Mom-like one in the middle. The rest of this motley crew is my family. My name is Tara Blessing, and I’ll be your blogger for the remainder of the flight.
Now don’t get all upset about this. You’re still getting the same great Michelle Lawson Photography experience that you always have. The blog has not been farmed out to a grass hut in India with internet access. The Lawsons and the Blessings go together like bread and butter. Like peas and carrots. Like toilet paper and shoe bottoms. We have been friends for twelve years!
Long ago, my husband, Seth, and I lived in Fort Lauderdale. I’d moved there to get my degree in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. As a bonus I met my super-duper-catch-of-a-husband in that city as well. To top it all off, we began our super-duper-awesome-friendship with Steve and Michelle there, too! (Thanks Rosie!)

Our daughter was just six months old when she “held” the Lawson’s first son in her arms at the hospital. These two are 10 years old now and have been buddies ever since.

We moved away, back to my hometown of Tallahassee, Florida, but continued to visit with the Lawsons several times a year. Our families’ next pair of kids came along–for them, another boy–for us, another girl.

There never were two peas in a pod as alike as these kids. Crazy comes the second time around. :)
The kids have grown and changed over the years. I can’t say much for their fathers. Seth and Steve are like brothers. Now I remember where Crazy came from!

The Lawsons have continued to add to their family with two more boys and another baby on the way. We now have to take two mini-vans when we go out to dinner together.

The Blessings couldn’t keep up, so we got a dog instead.

She doesn’t come out to dinner, but she does come with us whenever we visit the Lawsons. Her name is Poppy–like the flower, not like the Mexican grandfather. Awwww…isn’t she a cutie-wootie-ootie? Okay, I’ll stop.
A few weeks ago, we had our semi-annual visit. We came down to South Florida to stay with the Lawsons for a week of summer fun.
We had a blast!

Of course, we couldn’t resist doing some family photo sessions together, like at that awesome graffiti wall you saw moments ago. And here:

Love these kiddos…

So in review of today’s story:
- Sorry for not saying “Hi” sooner.
- You’re in good hands.
- Lawsons + Blessings = crazy, fun, family, photography, blogging, awesomeness!!!
